Col. Patrick N. Kaune, Fort Knox Kentucky Garrison Commander, will be the guest speaker at the RSBA general membership meeting on September 12, 2017.
The Garrison commander is the officer selected by the Department of the Army to command the Garrison and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Fort Knox military installation . He, along with the Knox Garrison Command Group, maintain living and working conditions for all personnel on the installation and is the lead for base support operations management. He is assisted in this role by The Deputy Garrison Commander , Emmet Holly and the Command Sergeant Major , CSM Garrick Griffin. Col Kaune’s role on the installation is similar to that of mayor of a city .
He will update the RSBA membership on projects on Fort Knox and the relationship between the installation and the adjoining communities.
